Course Description

The public sector plays an essential role in society. The public sector and governments provide resources and produce goods and services that are crucial for a well-functioning society. However, fulfilling this role requires solid plans that encompass what will be produced, how it will be financed, and how it will be accounted for. This course explores these questions.

  • Understand the main terminology and theories of governmental budgeting and public finance, the role of government in the economy, and the budgetary process and budgetary cycle in kuwait.
  • Comprehend the importance of government cash management and time value of money.
  • Understand budgeting forecasting and how it is an essential tool when it comes to governmental budgeting.
  • Learn the world of governmental debt management and get introduced to governmental bonds.
