Course Description

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the fundamentals of web application development and deployment. Students will be introduced to the main standards and technologies used to power contemporary front-end and back-end web applications. Through practical experience, students will be introduced to the challenges of designing, building, deploying modern web applications and service-based infrastructures. Students will also develop an appreciation of the challenges that face business in maintaining a web application infrastructure.

  • Develop and deploy static and dynamic web applications.
  • Design and deploy web infrastructures that power static and dynamic web applications.

  • Understand the security challenges present in modern web applications and how to manage them.
