AoL Overview and Importance

Faculty at CBA are committed to program level assessment to ensure that students learn critical skills and acquire knowledge that the faculty want students “to be” or “to have” as well as “be able to do” on completion of their business degree program. As an AACSB-International accredited business school, CBA uses the “Assurance of Learning” standards as a basis for the development of student learning goals and assessment of those goals. Why is AoL important?

  1. Accreditation: AACSB accreditation requires AoL as part of its standards fulfilment.
  2. Continues improvement for the school
AoL Process
AoL is the systematic processes for determining and revising degree program learning goals, improving curricula to achieve learning goals, and demonstrating that learning goals have been met. The AoL process, summarized in the figure above, starts with CBA Mission, Vision, and Values.
