Course Description

The objective of the course is to provide students with the knowledge that allows them to understand issues related to the fiscal policy conducted by the government in general, and by the Ministry of Finance in particular. The course combines economic theories in the Public Finance field with real life in order to maximize students' knowledge.

Course Learning Objectives (CLOs)
  • 1. understand of the fiscal policy theory and analytical tools that can be used in decision-making process.
  • 2. use analytical skills through integrating knowledge of public finance problem, identify their relationships, and formulates them into planning model to which decision making tools can be applied.
  • 3. use economic models to isolate the relevant elements of a fiscal policy problem, identify their relationships, and formulates them into a planning model to which decision making tools can be applied.
  • 4. select the right fiscal policy variables and tools in order to determine optimal solutions to public finance problems.
